| Wedding announcement for my great grandparents (1887) |
My great grandparents, Samuel Eber Carpenter (1853 - 1929) and Sarah Etta Freeman (1858 - 1945), were married on Wednesday, June 15, 1887 in Cumberland, Rhode Island. Apparently they then went on a 16-day honeymoon to a location unknown. Their wedding announcement (shown above) states that they would be "At Home" after July 1st, in Albion, Rhode Island.
Sam and Sarah had two children: Ruth Ann Carpenter (1889 - 1920) and Everett Shearman Carpenter (1891 - 1962), my grandfather.
