Military Monday (September 16, 2013) -- Daniel J. O'Kane, Jr.'s WWII Army ID

Last Monday I posted about my late father-in-law's "Short Snorter" and mentioned that it was found inside his World War II Army identification book.  Here is a scan of the Army identification book of Dan O'Kane that contained his "Short Snorter" all these years. The ID book was issued January 9, 1942 when Dan was a 2nd Lieutenant, but as indicated in the fingerprint box just above where the word "THUMB" is printed, Dan was promoted to Major on 1 January 1945.
