Military Monday (December 9, 2013)

Last Friday I posted a photo of my wife's grandfather, G. Douglas Jeffs, in his WWI Canadian Expeditionary Force uniform.  Today I post the Canadian Expeditionary Force Certificate of Service issued to George Douglas Jeffs, who was a physician and served in Canada and England with the Canadian Army Medical Corps (C.A.M.C.).  He served aboard the hospital ship H.M.H.S Araguya.

Dr. Jeffs was commissioned in the C.A.M.C. on May 2, 1917 and served until he was "STRUCK OFF THE STRENGTH" on July 9, 1919 "by reason of General Demobilization."
