Adding a Special Marigold (May 29, 2017)

One week ago today, the Tew and Winkler families welcomed a very special marigold into our lives. Although the debut was delayed by 14 days we were all wonderfully rewarded by the arrival!
😀

Our granddaughter, Nora Winkler Tew, and her family welcomed Nora's baby sister, Marigold Winkler Tew, at 1:06 PM on Monday, May 22, 2017. Marigold unfolded in the world at seven pounds 10 ounces. Her parents and sister are doing well and Marigold at one week old is blossoming nicely.

As when her sister was presented after her birth, we could not resist recalling and humming Stevie Wonder's "Isn't She Lovely!" as we looked on her for the first time. Nora is clearly fascinated and is already wearing proudly her newly presented "Big Sister" shirt.

  2. Sweet baby, sweet photos of both granddaughters. Those newborn photos where babies are crying -- what a rude awakening to come from the warmth and comfort of mama to the cold, bright world outside. In the last photo, I think Marigold has a wise and knowing look about her. And, of course, Nora is just as cute as she can be. The attentive big sister. Congratulations, Grampa John, and welcome, Marigold!

  5. Oh, such wonderful news. I love the photos and the minute I saw the marigold plants, I knew what this was about. Little Marigold is a doll, and so isn't big sister Nora. Such joy! I trust everybody is healthy and getting some sleep, while celebrating the newest granddaughter.

On another note, I'd like to go to HBTSOTR.
